Woodstock Education Foundation 8th Annual Starlight Gala

The 8th Annual Starlight Gala will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 6:00 PM-10:00 PM at the Mansion at Bald Hill in Woodstock, CT. Enjoy an enchanted evening of dinner & dancing, featuring exciting live and silent auctions, to benefit enrichment programs for the children in Woodstock’s PreK-8 public schools. The Gala is the WEF’s primary fundraising event, and we rely on monies raised to fund teacher-initiated grants submitted throughout the school year. We look forward to seeing you there!

Woodstock Education Foundation Approves 2019-2020 Grants

The WEF is excited about the 2019-2020 school year, and has already approved several teacher-initiated educational enrichment grants:

20-01   Mathematical Olympiads - WMS Grades 6-8

20-02   U.S. History Civil War Program - WMS Grade 8

20-03   Tour Guides for Washington DC Class Trip - WMS Grade 8

20-04   Roger Williams Zoo Field Trip - WES Grade 3 

20-05   History Detectives: Exploring Native American Life - Grade 3

20-06   Native Americans in Early Connecticut - Grade 1

20-07   National Geographic Bee - Grade 7

20-08   Native Americans: Eastern Woodlands - Grade 5

20-09   8th Grade Book Club  - Grade 8

20-10   Shakesperience - Grade 7

20-11   Muzzy BBC Spanish Program - Grade 1

20-12   A Christmas Carol - Grade 7

WMS Public Speaking Program

The Woodstock Education Foundation is proud to fund the WMS Public Speaking program.  The 2019-2020 program begins on October 3, and students may sign up in the WMS office. We are looking forward to another great year.
